Story of From the hoop is inspired by Earl Manigault's life. Earl Manigault was one of the greatest basketball player of his generation. Mentored by Holcombe Rucker through his youth he became the star of his high school team. As an universitary champion, he seemed destined to shine in NBA. But before the transition, he fell into drugs and lead his life far away from the basket. After dark years made of jail, drugs and friend's death, he gave up this world to return in the right way to Harlem. He started the "Walk Away From Drugs" tournament for kids in Harlem. He died in 1998 from a heart failure.

 Section 8 is an upcoming first person shooter and original IP developed by TimeGate Studios and published by SouthPeak Interactive. It utilizes the Unreal Engine 3 and will be on PC and next-generation consoles. Section 8 will allow players to dynamically alter the flow of combat as they see fit, employing tactical assets and on-demand vehicle deliveries. It is scheduled to be released during the fourth-quarter of 2009.

 The long wait is over. Malaysia's first 3d animated feature film, Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula (or Geng: The Adventure Begins for the English version) has finally been completed and is set to be released on the 12th of February 2009 in cinemas across Malaysia. The 90-minute feature film is produced by Les' Copaque Production, an animation company based in Malaysia, with a budget less than USD2 million and a staff of 40 creative workers that took 2.5 years to complete.

 Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for The Tale of Despereaux, the new computer animated family fantasy adventure from Sam Fell (Flushed Away) and Robert Stevenhagen (supervising animator of Space Jam and An American Tail: Fievel Goes West).
Tiny and graced with oversized ears, Despereaux was born too big for his little world. Refusing to live his life cowering, he befriends a Princess named Pea and learns to read (rather than eat) books -- reveling in stories of knights, dragons and fair maidens. Banished from Mouseworld for being more man than mouse, Despereaux is rescued by another outcast, Roscuro, who also wants to hear the tales....

It is directed by Conrad Vernon and Rob Letterman. Monster vs Alien will boast the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Rainn Wilson, Hugh Laurie and Seth Rogen among others.
