 New Orleans, Aug. 3 at SIGGRAPH 2009, Autodesk Inc. has launched Softimage 2010 3D modeling, animation rendering and compositing software for games, film and television visual effects.
Softimage 2010 features an optimized core architecture, integration of the Softimage Face Robot facial rigging and animation toolset, and an expanded and customizable Interactive Creative Environment (ICE) system.

 New Orleans, Aug. 3 at SIGGRAPH 2009, Autodesk Inc. has launched Autodesk Mudbox 2010 software, the latest version of its digital sculpting and painting application.
The 2010 release makes it easier for artists to use Mudbox alongside Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3ds Max and Autodesk Softimage software. Mudbox 2010 now also features a host of new creative tools and workflows, as well as a software development kit (SDK) that enables production teams to customize and integrate Mudbox into pipelines.

 The Indigo 2.0 series has been in Beta for the last 3 months, and has recently reached a point of sufficient stability to be released as a "stable" version. Indigo 2.0 is the first commercial version of Indigo, and represents the latest results from over 5 years of development.

Autodesk have released Service Pack 1 for 3ds Max 2010 and 3ds Max Design 2010.
It includes nearly 30 fixes for issues with undo, performance, responsiveness, viewports, material workflow, and mental ray.
Specific areas addressed are Biped, Bitmap Pager, Bitmap Proxies, Containers, Edit Poly, Interoperability, Licensing, Materials, mental ray, Particle Flow, Performance, Photometric Lights, ProOptimizer, Render To Texture (RTT), Rendering, UVW Unwrap, and Viewports.

FLEXnet Licensing Hotfix for 64-bit Windows repairs the problem of a crash that may occur during the Activation Licensing Service process, when launching an Autodesk 2010 product on Microsoft Windows 64-bit platforms.
