В этом году корпорация Intel отметила сороковую годовщину своей деятельности. Фактически заново изобретя транзистор еще на заре своей деятельности, в 2008 г. корпорация Intel представила широкий ассортимент новой продукции, а также достигла новых рубежей в областях исследований и разработок, охраны окружающей среды и совершенствовании своей организационной структуры. Кроме продуктов, предназначенных для ноутбуков, ПК и серверов – традиционных для Intel сегментов, – корпорация начала выпуск микросхем и внедрила ряд технологий, предназначенных для новых сегментов рынка и быстро развивающихся высокотехнологичных областей. |

Интересный "Шоурил 2008" от CG художник Peter Roe. Все работы показанные в ролике были придуманы и сделаны самим автором. Для моделирования, рендеринга, создания текстур и анимации автор использовал программы: XSI, рендер Vray, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max. Для композитинга использовалась программа After FX. |

Demoreel 2008 от CG художника Alexander Lehmann. Весь контент, все идеи и концепция, включая моделирование, текстурирование, настройку освещения, риггинг, анимацию и композитинг, создавались самим автором. В ходе подготовки жтого ролика использовались программы: 3dsmax, Combustion, Photoshop, ZBrush и Premiere.

Thanks to Google and the Rome Reborn Project, everyone in the world, from Rome itself to Calcutta, can now travel through time and discover Ancient Rome as it was 1,688 years ago when it was ruled by Emperor Constantine.
The project includes more than 6,700 buildings of Ancient Rome rebuilt in 3D — a true record. This accomplishment demonstrates how technology can be helpful in promoting culture and disseminating knowledge. Ancient Rome 3D is a great opportunity to rediscover the importance of Ancient Roman culture, which is at the base of the Italian, European and, more generally, Western identities. |

EdgyBend and DeFocus recompiled for 3ds max 2008 and 2009.
Render effect DeFocus simulates camera defocus. Allows you to set different iris shapes and increase light flares. Quite usefull when you want to blur background to get nice DOF effect.
Modifier EdgyBend - very similar to standard Bend modifier. The difference is that it bends objects while keeping straight sections.

New glu3D v1.3.23 version for 3dsMax with gluBaker plugin included + four New tutorials that illustrate some glu3D features that are now so easy to understand.
glu3D is a complete system that makes easy making liquids in Autodesk's 3dsMax and Maya. glu3D uses particles to simulate the liquid behavior, and a multi-resolution polygonal surface is also generated to display the liquid surface.
